Done a bit of tidying up on the members' list - we get bombarded with all sorts of marketing junk disguised as new members, so i've deleted what i think are the latest crop of interlopers....if i have deleted any real blues fans by accident, I'm sorry! A particular apology to you, Mr Marketing at Hot Water Pressure Washers, if in fact you really do love the blues!! Any complaints, please address them to Clive, who normally does the web stuff....and who as ever is in our thoughts!

Hi Every-one, as some of you may have noticed, the site has not been managed or kept up-to-date as it usually is, but the band is still playing on with a variety of friends standing in for Clive as he recovers from his stroke, and the great news is...he IS on the mend, slow, but steady and although he has no feeling in his right hand he is still picking up the acoustic bass and running thru a few licks.....Keep on Keeping On Boss....
Last Saturday we played as the Session Boogie band at the Gibraltar Motorcycle Clubs Anniversary Bash. We had Treble Trev on the Bass and Andy Pons on rythm and Lead guitar....went down a storm, and Ponsy may be joining us more often when we play the bigger gigs............watch this space.........the Beat Goes On

Very well done to everyone who came down to the Tunnel last nite for the fund raiser for Clive and Dana. The Eastside bad boys rambam-jam Band featured Nick Gonzales on sax, Stan Muscat on lead, Trevor and Sticky taking turns on bass and as usual Melvyn on tin biscuit, Ian on the sticks and me on the slide....during th...e breaks we had Andy Pons and Leo doing an acoustic set and Zooney and Sticky playing a great father/son duet. Xtra thanks to Leo, who brought down some of his C.D's for sale and donated the money to the fund, and Big, Big thanks to Sanne for her tireless "Hatting" throughout the evening, the total of which came to £500.00(plus a few euros, pfennigs, pesatas and an assortment of buttons..........all in all a brilliant effort, thankyou all...Well Done, Everyone.

Sadly, I have some very shocking news to share with all of our members. Our mate and Blues buddy Clive has had a stroke. It hit him on Sunday morning, luckily Melvyn was close to hand and helped Dana get him to hospital very quickly. The good news is, Clive is already walking, with help, and talking and making lousy jokes again, and hopefully it won't be too long before he starts running up and down the frets again.
The Boogie Band were meant to play this Saturday 5th June in the Tunnel Bar, and........ We still are, with "Sticky" (Mark) Alexander, "Treble" Trev and Stan the Man Muscat all taking turns to try and fill in for the Big-un. The whole event is scheduled as a bit of a fundraiser to help Dana and Clive through a difficult time, so please come on down and bring a "little extra". Get Well Soon, Clive

Sunday night Jam sessions with Guy and Jason of the Tunnel Casemate Sq Gibraltar hosted by Stan and Zooney has to be the best place to be on a boring Sunday night. Stan and Zooney supply all the gear, Amps, PA, Drums etc, even drum sticks. All Musicians are made welcome and get a chance to do there own thing or play with a mixture of Musicians as a band doing all types of music from Heavy rock, Blues,Jazz, Acoustic, Irish jigs even there own compositions. Young and old mix in a friendly atmosphere over a pint or two listening and dancing to some really good sounds coming from the stage. Here you will find musicians like Stan and Zooney of course, Trevor (Bass), Victor (Drums) from the Rizing. Me Clive (Bass), Lorry (Guitar/ Vocals) Iain (Drums) and sometimes Melvyn (Harp) from EastSide Blues Band, Neil (Acoustic guitar) from Thrifty Malone, Zooney's son Mark, great young Guitarist with his band ForwadsSlash, Joe (Drummer), Keven Peach (Keyboards) and a great Sax player Nick......and many, many more.
So if your bored and thinking of going to work on Monday just come down to The Tunnel Jam and forget Monday and have a great time...........![]()
